New Catfish In Town.

PICS of the walking catfish is coming up...........yesterday I went to the pet store to get the cat fish but all of them were VERY small and the others are very BIG, the dealer said he had ordered some medium sized walking catfish 2 weeks ago and they will be arrived by tommorow, WICH IS TODAY!! im on my way there after few, hours but should I get an albino?

they do like to move things around like plants and bogwood things like that if i put plants in a certain place he will rip them up and swim about with them and put them at the other end of the tank lol and its moved a 15kg rock too i made a cave out of it i placed it on two other stones and i was very secure he forced himself behind it and pushed it over so it closed the front of the cave lol he loves it in there when he's not being bothered by the breeding convicts lol they bully him abit lol . i also have a big cave ive made out of 3 huge peices of slate too he loves that one but the big plecs cram in there with him too lol but that doesn't bother him that much

its funny how everybody else ive spoke to with a clarias theres has been quite aggressive and eats smallish fish and bully other big fish and mine just isn't bothered at all lol

and im pretty sure they haven't got a poisonous spine or any spine there dorsal fin runs 3 quarters of there body and that is fairly soft but i will do abit of research and find out for sure

That is the cutest looking walking catfish I had ever seen.......and it's color is stunning too, he look's a bit harmless. What's with all those cichlids and corys? are you using them as scavengers or feeders? Are you sure that these catfishes have no spines?! but I have this book that says that they do have a spine........?

the cory's and convicts are fish that i put in there first and they hav just stayed in there its too hard to catch them in my tank lol

ive never known clarias to have poisonous spines i will have a look about mate

mine is a marbled clarias

YUP, I know how you feel about those poor fishes espacially cichlids they are fast and good at hiding too, tell your walking catfish that I said HI!!

the young lad who came and bought mine got spiked right through the skin between thumb and fingers and I s**t him up by saying it was poisonous!!! Spoke to him a week or two later to see if my fish was ok and he was still alive!!!

Funny thing ws I warned him but he was a big brave 16 yr old who thought he knew better lol and you should have seen how white he went

Just found a pic of my old beasty..... quite miss him now actually!!!
