They're all gorgeous  I think I like the last one best.
Your sig looks good too, it seems you've got quite a crew over there B)

Exquisite pics and stunning fish; just breathtaking.

ETA: Did you ship through a transshipper or did you collect them at customs yourself? If I could get the breeders to ship to the nearest international airport, I'd happily deal with customs if it meant I could save myself the cost of the transshipper.

i used a transhipper. i live near an airport too, but the main problem is needing an import license, which costs $100 for one year. if i thought i was going to be importing a lot of fish and often, then it would be worth it to get one, but right now it would be too costly

Will a betta tail grow back?

unfortunately, the red gold male decided to chew on his tail on the way out of thailand. still lovely though!

Yes they should do...sometimes I add bettafix or diluted melafix to help things and to protect things but it's not a necessity.

who was the breeder? Those are real nice fish.

his name is Watt, not too sure what his last name is. he and his wife and their extended family all breed bettas and sell on aquabid, but watt seems to be the one mostly in charge (ie, he accepts payment and can make deals on all the fish). they go by a ton of aquabid IDs - grandbetta, luckybetta, duenbettas, ann_aquatic, island_aquatic, rainnybetta, bettaquality...i'm probably even forgetting some!

his last name is saenpaeng. and one of his other aquabid names is wonderful bettas :) i get all my bettas from thailand from watt and his wife, duen. they're such nice people and such good breeders! i talk to them on MSN messenger and they even offered to let me stay at their house if i ever visit thailand! haha

they're awesome, i usually talk to watt on msn, but the other day i actually got their niece Ann, she was over there while auntie duen and uncle watt were out :) she's trying to save up enough to come study in the USA. my black green ohm and the blue butterfly are actually from her :) they are top notch breeders with awesome fish. they're such nice people, i doubt i'll need or want fish from any other source. watt was actually genuinely upset about the red gold biting his tail, because he especially liked that fish - had wanted to breed it but sold it because they needed the money. i love seeing breeders who care about their fish like that. i showed him these photos and he said, those are MY fish!? they look so nice with your camera! hehe

For some reason (gosh I can't imagine why  ) this picture just makes me giggle.

That is one cute girlie.

she looks shameless there :D
"oh, come on now...you know i'm cute! you know you want to feed me - again!"

i just have to say again how awesome watt is. i pointed out a fish i had my eye on, and he made a deal with me right away, and threw in a female. check him out:

i never used to go for butterflies, but this was love at first sight

the red gold boy is usually pretty shy while im watching him, but when i got home from work yesterday, he left a nice thick bubblenest in the corner of his tank ;D

That's who I got my boy, "Jagger" from too. The seller was luckybetta! They have the most beautiful fish! They are incredible breeders. I can't imagine having to sell them if they were mine, they are all so gorgeous!

That copper BF is gorgeous- I saw him on Aquabid a week or two ago and my mouth was just watering.

Are you int he US? If so, import laws here in Canada may be different . . . even pricier, for all I know! But I'm starting to think it would be worth checking into.

i think the moment i saw that copper bf i knew i'd wind up buying him :*) i don't normally go for coppers OR bfs, but that fish just is awesome. he looks like a painting!

i am in the US...not sure about import laws in canada. if you need help probably marianne at bcbetta.com would have answers about importing fish to canada. definitely worth it, in my opinion! now i look in my own fishtanks and drool :p
