got this new Betta at Petco, nothing really stands out much about her expect how her tail has threads like a crown tail on it, they are very small however. She is quite a young fish about 4 or 5 months old so it is to be detrimend on if she is a true veil tail, which I think she is. Haven't owned
a red female for a while, hope she gets along with my other girls

Nice. She's very ornate for a female. Looks like my Veiltail.

Yes, I was surprised how big my females got, I got them in February and they were her size. I seem to forget that Bettas do a lot of growing

Do you know the size of the bowl she's in? Bettas typically need at least 2.5 gallons (with a heater and filter) in order to thrive.

I have a 10 gallon community tank, why would I stuff s bunch of bettas in a bowl

He is pretty. I have a super delta male Betta in a fluval spec v 5.5 gals. I recommend you place your Betta, in at least 5gals as well with heater and filter. A 2gal is ok but in my experience, they Betta will do better and have more space. I think my fluval v is not expensive on Amazon, have a look also at your local buy and sell ad sites.

If you wanna use your 10gal that will be awesome ofc .
