I can't decide what's worse, LFS's keeping bettas with totally unsuitable tank mates, or in drinking cups... either way, he's a lucky fish! I can totally sypathise with the 'clearing flat surfaces for fish tanks' bug. I've done the same!

I have moved him into my new tank today.... works out to be about 40 litres, not bad! I will quarantine him in there for a few weeks before adding a divider and then Baby and the froggies can join him! Also, today I bought him a tankmate... a cute little cory! So far so good, he is too busy lording it over the upper regions of the tank to have noticed the cory! I'ved moved the plant out of Baby's tank to Neptunes tank now as I have bought a better light for the new tank, and the plant wasn't doing too good. just waiting for the hubby to sort out the light for me.. I would do it myself but am lazy hehe. I've pinched a tree stump type ornament out of the krib fry tank for Neptune to use as a cave, hope he likes it!
Pics tomorrow when the water has settled down and the light is fitted I've pinched one of the 2 bio sponges out of Baby's tank and swapped with one of the new ones in Neptune's filter, as they both have the same make filter, so hopefully the media will clone ok.

I just love him, he is even more active than my Baby! Can't wait till I divide my new tank and he can go in, though he is being quarantined first, having come from an LFS.... And just a few months till I can divide up my 2ft and get 3 more bettas! Yay! Though my husband is picking one of them Am trying to keep him involved in my obsession!

Husbands never understand

My hubby just threatened to take the 40 gallon tank I just bought and make it a kingdom for HIS betta. He says he's not obsessed but I don't believe him.

LOL! My hubby is currently behaving himself and attaching a new light unit to the hood of the tank, Then I will be bale to see Neptune better! He seems to be doing really well, His little cory friend seems fine too cute little thing he is!
