New Betta

I finally got a female betta for my male Here's a pic of her..her name's Te'nyo is Heaven Sent literally translated from Japanese, it's also sorta like elf/faerie type thing...my male is Bourei is like ghost/spirit. anywho, he at first didn't like her in the next tank and would always flare up at her then after her floating by him in her tank all at him and then he finally started making a bubble nest all around the tank and he finally started eating a little brine shrimp, she loves it so that is great since i split a cube b/w those 2 and the corys im conditioning in another tank...if i do get them to spawn or try to im sure ill be back on with more questions.

Awww they're both adorable, I have a female who looks just like her!! I'm currently spawning 2 first timers, its cute when they have no idea what they're doing lol. Good luck and post more pics!!

Glad to see you've come to join us! Just realised that she looks like the female that I wanted so not fair!

Bourei's colour looks to have changed from the first pics I ever saw of him (could be that its a clearer pic and that he has settled in lol)

I have a feeling you'll be getting more bettas shortly

Awww she's sweet looking. So like Squidge (an unfortunate nickname that stuck) in colour too. I can't breed from her tho. I was going to but she lost her eyesight, poor thing.

I have a female just like her that I bred my MG HM male with and the fry are lovely, cambo in colour with that lovely sheen to them.

Recently acquired some CT females with that sort of sheen as well, so their offspring should be interesting

hehe thanks...you know Natsuko you said about vertical lines right before she's about ready to spawn right? I swear last night I saw a vertical line or two on her...I can't wait to try spawning...and yes these are the clearest pics I've gotten so far...anyway i gotta go back to work now oh yeah, are the vert lines black?? b/c the ones I saw on her body were kinda black looking...oh and the bubbles surround top of tank now

Yeah it's the verticle ones they are normally black I think or darker in colour anyway! I'd let her settle in though before trying just incase she has an infection or summat! Sounds very promising though! Can't believe he's got his bubble nest going it must be love lol

Yeah I plan to let her rest/get used to the tank for about a week or so...also I should put something in there for her...any recommendations on plants, etc. to use? Also, since the bubbles are all around the tank, is that ok? Should I put a plant or something in there for the nest to be well more of a nest??

Isn't Bourei a VT, though? You realy shouldn't spawn those two... there are too many VTs already.

thanks...yeah you can google image search for it or i can email u if you want to trade from the simpsons characters...theres one japanese pic i remember from a video game that maybe doesn't exist but i thought did with koi jumpin from water with that japanese sun behind like mountain or something...anyway it's probably just from my street fighter game...
