New Betta Tank

Hi my betta has been in my 60L with a dwarf gourami for a month or two, i know its not perfect but i kept lots of plants in there, they were both ok but they were only ok, so i thought i would put my betta in my spare tank. sorry about picture quality but i used my phone (1.3mp)

My spare tank its a 9inch cube

He's built his first bubble nest over night as well so i think he must like it
What do you think?
What else could i put in there to make it look good?

I'd say maybe just put in a smaller plant towards the front a bit and maybe some big pebbles, but apart from that it looks really nice!

Looks Great! He might like it is you found a small holey rock or a little cave for him and a few more little plants.. but just a thought =]

I'm going to get some more plants soon also i've put a little holey castle thing in with him but it doesn't look great, he seems to like it tho so i'm going to look out for a small pice of lava rock or similar to replace it with.
It doesn't have a lid on, i've been worried he might jump out but he hasn't yet so i'm just keeping an eye on him.

could maybe try making a temp lid with some cling film and something to support the edges? if your worried about him jumping, ive had a betta in a tank with no lid he never jumped, but diff bettas are diff. Nice tank

Hi im trying without a lid for now and i think i can trust him
not seen him jump once.

Keep an eye on the temperature of the water. I see you are using a desktop lamp and from previous "experiences" I know they can get rather hot...

Yeah it only goes up 1 degree in the day so dont think its anything to worry about.
