New Betta, please help!

Hello! I've had my first betta for about a month. Keeping him with a filter/heater. He's very active and loves to eat and otherwise seems healthy. But ever since I brought him home I've noticed the scales near his head seem different from the rest of his body. I'm not sure if this is illness or just how he is? Any thoughts greatly appreciated. I've done a round of Bettafix on him and it didn't really provide much change.

It could just be his colouring coming out not being so stressed in the fish shop.

If his behavior is fine and there are no other issues, I wouldn't worry about. Make sure the ammonia is zero and that your tank is fully cycled.

He looks fine to me and he's a really interesting colour. Is he actually pinky purple colour or is my monitor playing tricks on my eyes?
