I have not seen p. pulcher so colorful. In the video the male looks yellow and black. Do you culture your own microworms and BBS or buy them? Those are common kribs, Pelvicachromis pulcher. The parents are escorting their babies around the tank in search of food. I start my krib fry on microworms, switching to BBS a week later.
P. pulcher is a very variable species. Some males have spots on their tails, some don’t. There’s also a super red morph.I have not seen p. pulcher so colorful. In the video the male looks yellow and black. Do you culture your own microworms and BBS or buy them?
That's good- I was wondering about it, but it did look like the fry were eating either the moss or something on the moss, so I was hoping they'd be ok.I will note that with my kribs i NEVER had to feed the frys; the parents always found something they would eat. It helps that the frys will eat plant matter and kribs are natively heavy plant matter eaters (they LOVE their salad )

This is unlike my sa dwarf cichild where it is either hatch live food or forget about the frys making it more than a week.

Note that blood worms is not a great food and particularly bad for dwarf cichild. Feeding it to larger fishes like angels once a month or so isn't bad but it really isn't great stuff on a regular basis. Too fatty.
