Can you please tell me the size of my new tank. I got it from a friend who recently used it for an Iguanan. I tested it with water for 24 hours and it retained all water. Here are the dimensions: H- 16.75in. W- 12.5in. & L- 24.4in. Thanks for your help. Also if it didnt come with a hood, so if anyone has and DIY for building a hood please post.

I measured my 10 gallon. Yours has double the area. I'm just guessing, but it sounds about around 20 gallons.

I know its annoying for me to suggest.........., but you could figure it out when you add the water to it. :*) Maybe enough more so to have to count all those buckets.

Maybe you could find out from aquariumfish.net. They sell equipment.

TaylorM,

The tank is 22.11 gallons (UK I think) or 83.71 litres. Bear in mind that this is the NOMINAL volume and you will actually have less water due to the displacement of the gravel/sand, rocks, plants, etc. and you will obviously not be filling it to the brim :)

HTH, Eddie
