Just got my first tank. 60 litres.

At the minute it has been running with no fish or plants in for about 2 days.

I need some advice on what can live in this tank and which fish should not be put in the same tank.

I would also like a snail in there if possible, any suggestions

Thank you.

Hi Welcome to the forum :) Being a beginner with no fish in the tank is the best point to be at :)

This is a link to the begginers resource section well worth a read - have a read through the Nitrogen Cycle section and the Fishless Cycle topics :) These are the best bits of info you wont get in the shops as it will save you a lot of money and fish deaths in the long run but it does tank a bit of time.

With regards fish for this tank stick to small fish - things like Micro Rasboras, Pygmy Gourami, Pygmy Corydoras and some Dwarf Cichlids would work in there. Small Tetra species like Ember Tetras and Green Neon Tetras would be good as well :)

It needs to be cycled first. There are plenty of cycling related topics so have a look and see if they can help you out :)

Welcome to the forums.Plenty of time for you to read up on compatible fish while your tank is cycling.60l would allow you 6 corys and a similar size shoal of neon tetras eg and not much,if any, more.

Thanks ill give them a read through
