Hello all, I’m looking into and keeping my eyes peeled for good deals on 55/60 gallon fish tanks for my African cichlids. I currently have a female kenyi cichlid, a male marble peacock cichlid, and another male pseudotropheus crabro cichlid(all juveniles right now) in a 29 gallon. My question is when I upgrade and recommendations on substrate, decor, filters, heaters? Also what other cichlids I could add(as I’d like to add more if I got a bigger tank)

I use fine lime chip for the base, rocks stacked for the decor. Internal filters x2. I also use plants like ludwigia repens and giant Vallisneria. The plant keeps them amused.

Hi,

I use cheap white gravel from a builders merchants, Ocean rock ( as it helps buffer the pH) and an Eheim external filter. Lots of hiding places is key, caves, plants etc.
