I got a shipment of new fish through a supplier in Canada. Discus are from the popular breeder Forrest/Kenny Cheung.

They are in the quarantine tank for 4 weeks, which is dimly light. I took two photos without flash to show the true color of the fish, and two with flash to show the fish a little better.

This is a picture of the Leopard Snake skin I got without fish. Around 3 inches in size.

Nice going DL. How many fish did you get? Those are gonna be stunners. The guys that keep throwing there money away on junk can learn from looking at these pics of what young discus are supposed to look like. Who was the supplier?

Thanks Jim, glad you like them too. I am really looking forward to seeing the colors they gain when they are bigger. Supplier is April in Vancouver. She is actually a vet that used to be a Discus breeder. She now just imports them and sell at great prices for the other Discus enthusiasts in Canada!

It is a checkerboard pigeon. I have another I am growing out. I am lucky, maybe they will pair up.

One more pictures, this was taken with a pretty high quality camera for the NADA discus competition. Hopefully they don't disqualify it as it was from the side and for some reason he didn't want to co-operate yesterday. I couldn't shoot quick enough when he had his fins fully extended

Oh the sponge filter I am guessing?

Sort of random but that was the mature media I transferred from their old tank into this new one

Well I added my new guys into my main tank a few days ago. I took them out of quarantine a little early but I am happy with their energy, and appetite. Here are some shots I took today.
