I followed it and trimmed it a bit, roughly a cm or two off the top. It takes surprisingly long to trim grass with a pair of scissors haha. My Rotala Wallichii wasn't recovering from the grub that got into my tank so I had to take it out, I moved the Red Lotus in its place, also I thinned out the Limnophilia Aromatica and planted it where the Red Lotus was.
Thanks guys yeah I was thinking about getting another piece of driftwood for the tank, but the problem is... I'm VERY fussy with driftwood, also I would be way too tempted to attach a plant to it and guess what... no I want to put Bolbitis on a piece of wood and put it in there -.- lol thanks BLF haha.
ncguppy, I'm far from an expert. I have a long way to go before then, but this has been an awesome experience and learning curve! If anyone was to try a hightech planted tank I encourage it if you have the time and motivation to learn and look after it
really appreciate it! I just got another pic update showing the growth and the carpet
I got rid of the Mayaca Fluv because it got too thick and the bottom leaves weren't getting enough light and so they were dying off. I replaced it with Echinodorus Euguayensis.
Also I attached a bit of Bolbitis onto the twisty bit of driftwood
