I wont be getting the rasboras for a couple days, so for now its just my neons
getting shrimp on wednesday though.
And I know I have a fair bit of algae in my tank spread over the substrate and glass, all of it grew while I was cycling the tank but it has stopped growing and actually started to fade away now that the tank is running at full speed
I want to try and get this tank balanced naturally with a strict fert regime.
Sorry about the quality, I'll try to get a better one over the next few days
Oh also as you can see the hairgrass has taken off quite nicely, but I had some sort of grub or catepillar infestation (I'm assuming they were larvae from a mosquito or insect) and they absolutely made a mess of my rotala nanjenshen so I had to remove all of it
also my rotala waliichii was planted too close together (silly me didnt think of the light not getting down there) and so the undersides werent getting enough light and so the bottoms of them started to die off, so I thinned it out and trimmed the bottoms off and they have started growing quite nicely since
My limnophilia aromatica was ravaged by the grubs as well
but I've trimmed it all and its starting to make quite a nice come back with quite a few new shoots. There are more stems like this one haha, just wanted to show the progress of this one.
One more thing, when the chat was up and running I had a talk with eagles and TTA and various other people about different plants that would look good in here and where I should put them. So since the rotala nanjenshen has gone I will be putting a nice Red tiger lotus in the back right corner and I will be putting 3 or 4 Crypt Petchii in and planting them where the driftwood touches the substrate
Hopefully it will look awesome haha.
