Nervous Discus?

I now have 8 discus, but my yellow crystal still looks nervous about everything.
Hides quite a lot, seems to be the lowest member of the group, in feeding he hides, which is strange as since i added him i have added another 2 which are smaller, but they fit in fine, and eat great. When i first added him he did have fin rot, but thats all sorted out now
But he's still nervous
I don't get why he's like this, is there anything i can do?

tank is 120cm l, 75cm h, 46cm w
I have 2 BGK, but i am trying to sell 1 on to a new home, 2 plecos, 2 yoyo loach

That's like 80gal or so. I have 8 discus in my 80 gal most are still young but 2 are a year old and 4-5". The average size of discus is 5" to 6" at one year they will grow more after that but slowly.

It's just the way of the pecking order. There will always be the low guy that everyone seems to pick on. It sometimes changes as they grow they they start to challenge each other more. You could try and put him in a hospital tank to fatten him up give him some rest. Then once he is stronger and bigger add him again after you rearrange the tank.

I think he is the lowest rank, but i feel so sorry for him

Things could change with time. I have a low one discus that everyone seems to pick on but he will stand up to them now and then, if is a small discus but also one of the oldest. He might be stunted as some call it. Even the lowest in the pecking order will man up now and then. I never have a problem with him not getting enough food.

If your fish that is getting picked on is not getting enough food that could be a problem.
