Nerite snail sleeping or dying

I feel like every day I have an issue. Here’s my Nerite snail. Is something wrong with him.
5g tank
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10
Don’t feed him bc of algae in tank but bc he’s doing this, I put a piece of carrot in the tank but he’s still in the same spot curled for the past hour

As long as it is stuck to the glass, it is alive...nerites will do this, for hours or even days at a time...perfectly normal

They also ‘rest’ like that while not attached to anything. Normal too.

If it's not attached to anything and doing this, and you're not sure if alive, take the snail out and sniff it. You'll be left in absolutely no doubt if its dead, because it's foul.

But yep, very normal for nerites to have these resting periods for a few days even. An hour is nothing to be alarmed over!
