Neon Tetras

I have 12 neons in my tank and was very frustrated when I got them that they wouldn't group/school/shoul. Until last weekend I bought 3 clowns and a pair of ram cichlids - they are fantastic now and allways together - I got the impression that it was a saftey thing for them and atributed it to the clowns but I could be wrong - anyway it worked for me

I always thought that it was water sprite, guess you corrected me.
No actually! Water Sprite is another name that is used for that plant. Unfortunately, common names are often misleading, as they vary with region. I have often seen Hygrophila difformis called water sprite as well, the leaves have a similar form.

You should be able to see the new leaves forming in the centre of the rosette and then "unroll".

Oh okay. I have water sprite then. And yes, the leaves unroll from the crown. I think I'm going to get more neons and see if they school first. If not, then I will probably let them be, because I don't want them to feel unsecure from a predator in the tank. Am I correct in that angels eat neons? Does that mean I can't have any angels in the tank? I can get some small angels and move them into another tank when they get larger.
