Neon Or Cardinal Tetras?

I had 10 Cardinal Tetras as a surprise Xmas present. My husband put them in the tank (unknown to me). It is a very new set up. To my surprise I still have 10 Cardinal Tetras! Have also told husband NOT to buy fish as presents, need research etc. BTW they absolutely love sinking catfish granules. They actually wait for them and then dive at them! My PH is between 7 - 7.5

Im more satisfied now because im going to get my cardinal tetras today in about 5-6 hours.
Im getting excited. Ill get 4 the first week then 4 again the next week.

Shoaling is a defensive action. If they feel threatened, different but similaly sized tetras will shoal up. The converse is that in a non-threatening situation, even members of the same species will only casually associate, not shoal up.

get 2 guppies don't get 1 because they get stressed and eventually die if they are on their own
