Would these be ok in a community?
These are cichlids from lake Tanganyika so couldn't be kept ina normal tropical community tank as water parameters are totally differant.
They can be kept in a tanganyikan community if their tankmates are selected appropriatly.
They grow to a maximum of 2".
Apart from their looks their appeal is the way they build their own colonies within the tank and each generation lives with the parent colony expanding it with each brood
