I say you're pushing your luck with the clowns. A friend of mine has a 100 gallon salt tank and she's pushing it to the limit with 4 clowns, can't imagine the trouble that you will have a little way down the road
True if they are different types of clown fish but his are the same and they may even become a breading pair.wuvmybetta said:They fight and become territorial when they get older.
True! But if they both wind up being malesHazmat said:they may even become a breading pair.wuvmybetta said:They fight and become territorial when they get older.
Clowns, are often considered "peaceful" fish, but there are species that are more aggressive than others, and some will kill those of similar appearance unless they are a mated pair
I thought all clowns were the same sex, ???wuvmybetta said:True! But if they both wind up being malesHazmat said:they may even become a breading pair.wuvmybetta said:They fight and become territorial when they get older.

But now my curiosity is getting the best of me....
Chewy~ why won't you show the tank?
If he bought the clowns at the same time, and they are young enough, one will turn male, and the other will turn female. Clowns can change depending on the other clowns around them. I agree, though with wub, that tank is very small for two (possibly breeding) clowns.wuvmybetta said:True! But if they both wind up being males
he probably doesn't want to hear people rip into him if he's not running like a 50,000 gallon reef tank.ftx9 said:real nice clowns chewy but yeah im confused to why cant you tell us how big your tank is?
ewwww,I've never heard that before! (but maybe I have and I dont remember ,but I'm definately asking my lfs about that one! )Ron said:If he bought the clowns at the same time, and they are young enough, one will turn male, and the other will turn female. My guess is that Chewy doesn't want to be lectured on the size of the tank seeing as the clowns seem to be doing fine.
No. Not until he tells us. There is nothing wrong with a nice nano, but if you are trying to hide something you know is wrong, why even start a controversy?wuvmybetta said:Fine, fine. I think we all assumed so much, should we put away the pitchforks and burning stakes now?
