I only pay like 2-3 per fish.... and If I want more expensive fish, I wait til coupons for my pet store come thru the mail

thats what i do i wait until one of the pet stores is getting new stocking in and will sell the old stocking for a dollar
i got 6 glow light tetras for $6, regular priced they would have been $15

Good for you Robert on giving up smoking! Here in the states that would free up $4-$5 a day to spend on fish related products.

Unless youre in alaska like me, then most people here smoke 2-3 packs a week.. I know a guy that spends $250 a month on smokes... glad I dont... wouldnt have a house!

yeah I do lol. I got a great deal on a 29 gallon starter kit though it was on sale for $60 regular $150. That's just too good of an offer to pass up and my new marineland bio-wheel 350 regular $50 I think I got for $25. I'm a bargain shopper. Also got a new heater that's regular $40-$50 for $30. Lol.

Thats how I got mine... the 38g setup I got for 157... normally over 200, and then the 29g I got for 65 here... its a new store so things are still a bit high...

Can anyone tell me, Since the three red platys are pregnant, and about to burst, are there any fish I SHOULDN'T add to the mix?

well, the platys are little less than an inch long... everything else in the tank is large in comparison...

I am also addicted to fish stores. I'm so bad that I stop there almost every day, even if I don't get anything. I do surveys all around the area & there's always a fish store somewhere on my way home.

The worst part is the upgrading. I bought my 36 gallon tank, hood, light, cabinet ensemble for only $180 because it was the floor model & it was normally $225 on sale & like $250 normally.

Also, Is it easy/good to order fish online? whats a good site in the US?

The problem most people have with ordering online is that they don't actually get to see the exact fish they're ordering before they ship it. That combined with the huge overnight shipping cost have kept me from ordering online.

I wouldn't worry about the fish in transit too much either because just about every fish you see in the stores has been shipped at one point or another, what's the difference if it's shipped to the store or shipped directly to you?

Im Just thinking that some of the fish I think I might want, havent been at my pet store at all. and since im landlocked, I cant exactly drive to somewhere else
