So I recently acquired a tank from my brother.
The tank contains 5 angelfish, 6 bala sharks, and some other fish which I can't identify for sure.

I think the one in the blue box is a Red Tinfoil barb and the one in the red box... well I have no clue what barb (?) that is.
Any help would be appreciated.
The tank they are currently in is probably too small for them so I plan on donating them to a private LFS which I know will take good care of them. (Except the angels :) They will stay with me)

There is also a sucker fish we couldn't snap a picture of. Its a thin orange-ish one.

Secondly, I want to redo this tank and change the gravel to a sand substrate. The only bags of sand I can find in any LFS are something along the lines of "Marine Sand". They come in colors of white, black, bright green, bright pink, etc. I'm planning on getting the black ones but I don't want any PH or salinity changes or buffers etc. Is there something I should look for on these? It says good for Freshwater or Saltwater aquariums which is why I'm asking.

Looks quite possible

The one in the red box is an albeno tiger barb

What size is the tank? Angles need quite a big tank, some recomend 20+ gallons each space for these fish.

Sounds like a gold sucking loach, also known as a chinese algea eater, info here

Silver sand is good, if you want just sand. You can get just plain playsand from your hardwere shop also. If you Want coloured sand, then the stuff at your lfs would be fine. Just make sure you ask for inert sand, and in the likley event that they don't have a clue as to what your on about, explain that this means it will not react with anything or buffer the pH. Do a vinigar drop test on the sand once you have bought it. If a drop a vinigar placed on the sand does anything other than stit there or soack in it is not suitable. If it is suitable, rince thuroughly before placing in your tank.

I believe it is that then! thankyou very much!

After looking at some pictures and back at the tank I agree! I kept googling Tiger barbs but they did have more color. Didn't think about the albino. :)

Really? I dont believe I have a 100 gallon tank stashed anywhere. The tank all these fish are in is 30 gallons. (As you can imagine, its kinda cramped)

Wow, yep! That is it!

Silver sand would work just fine. I just want to get rid of the gravel that is currently in there. I will do just that and get back to you guys. Thanks for the speedy reply!

Marine sand will most likely have bits of coral and other things that will leach minerals into your tank...not good.

Yeah I was kinda afraid of that which is why I thought I would ask first. I think I will go with the hardware store suggestion and see how that plays out.

Wow! 30 Gallons is far too small for 5 angelfish, i'd suggest giving 4 of these to your lfs as soon as you can, especially considering you know a privately run one, they'll hopefully take good care of them.

Also Bala sharks grow to roughly 12 inches, but are schooling fish, so should be kept in groups of no less then 3, which again means your tank is far too small to keep any bala sharks. Sorry =(

haha, yeah. I was already aware of that. I gave them to the LFS approx. 8 hours ago.

I redid my tank and planted it a bit. I'm currently looking into CO2 options now. I'm kinda sidetracking the thread but any opinions on cheap little CO2 options?

Soda bottle + yeast + CO2 diffuser (and CO2 resistant line) = cheap DIY CO2 I think there are some threads that give instructions on how to construct one of these floating around, or a quick google search will work. ^_^
