Fish Crazy
Can anyone recommend something that will go into detail for each species regarding the water requirements like ph and temperature, tank mates, tank size, etc. Like an encyclopedia of tropical fish?

Thanks so much for the recommendations. I appreciate it!Baensch's Aquarium Atlas (Freshwater fishes), volume 1, (it has a group of cardinal tetras on the front cover) is a book available in soft cover and hard cover and has information about water chemistry, diseases, plants and a heap of common freshwater fish. There are several more volumes and they cover more unusual species of fish and plants. The books are available for freshwater and saltwater fishes so get the fresh water ones if they interest you. You might be able to find them at the library or check on Ebay or Amazon (Ebay is usually cheaper if you don't mind secondhand books).
