Need Help Wish My New Betta

i bought a betta a week ago and i just notice some white foam on his right side and crown behind his fins i don't know what it is and am worry about losing him

does it look more like a cottony type fluff or more stringy ish? What size tank is he in, any tankmates? What are your water stats? Have you tested them for amonia and PH and stuff? How often do you change the water? More information can help lead to a better diagnosis and thus the proper treatment.

it looks cottony i just changed the water so everything is fresh

is it normal for them stick them selfs in small spot

has he been quiet? its normal for them not to eat much when you move them about so cant go on that! if water is clean try medication but mind the dosages better to under dose. Keep water warm and clean. Perhaps some others will post to help but look round betta thread for illnesses.
You are trying your best so keep your figers crossed.

It is a fungus. I use Maroxy, since I have it to prevent egg fungusing in spawns. There are stronger meds for fungus, but Maroxy works just fine.

Sorry you lost your new betta. It might have been something he had before you got him. You tried your best, and at least he was being well looked after. It does happen I have lost a couple after a week.
