Need Help Fast

I brought another male betta today as he was in a tank with another male betta. He was being picked of and needed my help. He is breathing really fast at the moment... and keeps laying on the bottom of the tank. At the moment I have him in a breeding trap (Which I know is bad but no where else for them to go) I have a main tank over here but full of catfish gouramis and a flying fox which Im not too sure on...

Please help me get him back to health and tell me if he would be alright in main tank ...

Have you got an empty ice-cream tub or something? or a cloudy-plastic container? you could float that in your main tank so he gets the heat but doesn't get stressed by the other fishes approaching him... That should be a bit bigger than a breeding trap too.

Not a good idea in the main tank as Gouramis are likely to nip at him. Are the water stats ok in the breeding tank. Maybe try some of this as well - Look here

The breeding trap is a floating one which lays ontop of the water in the main tank. Looks like I will have to re home him then has I cant keep him in this tank and cannot keep him in my tank as I got guppies. Im hopfuly setting up a 2ft tank for male bettas but that would be awhile yet

its in tropical waters anyways.

I dont know if he is just depressed and "Sulking" or he really ill. He is laying on his side curled slightly and if I remember thas means they are ill - Doesnt it ?
