Odd, goes against my experience of them, they're territorial fish that are generally well behaved as juveniles and then become quite strongly territorial once they reach a certain size.

Hmm, i honestly cant second that, mine is about 2inches long, so he may be nice cause he is small

Yours would still be juvenile at that size, TO11. Some SA cichlids are very peaceful, at least with other fish, less so with their own kind.
