Had 46 harlequin rasbora's as my shoal but sadly lost most of the and the last ones are due to be sold.
Looking to build up a new shoal of fish ideally around the 2" size, any suggestions?
Tank is 5ft planted.

What are the dimensions of the tank?
What are the tank mates?

Neon or cardinal tetras are nice fish, so are rummynoses :)

dwarf rainbowfish...

emperor tetras...

bloodfin tetras...

sounds like you have a pretty decent sized fish tank. how about Odessa barbs? they're get about 4in tho. or maybe celestial pearl danios although they are pretty expensive for a tiny fish.

id get 20 or more red fin columbian tetra they look great when shoaling as they all swim together up and down the tank, well my last ones did and they get to a decent size

The xray tetras! The ones with the black eyes!!!

I think a big group of rummy nose tetra might look nice.

With a tank at that size you could go with quite a large shoal of Rummy Nose tetras, they'd be awesome at 20+!!

I think cardinals would be a good choice, they look amazing in large shoals. :)

So many choices, the rummy nose seem to be my favourite atm but not usre if they would clash with my torpedo barbs (lots of red faces) Buying in large numbers (30ish) gets quite costly.
Id most likely buy a couple and breed them to the numbers i want, not worried about cross breeding when there in the large tank as no fry would survive.
