Well.......I turned on the lights as normal in our little fish room which houses all our Betta babies (21 juvies) and gave them 10 mins before feeding so they were all properly awake. Went back in and gave them all their bloodworm. Takes a while because I hand feed each one individually (I know how to make life harder for myself but I enjoy it)

Anyway after feeding we went out for the afternoon to trawl around all the aquatic shops picking up bits and pieces as we went. We came home about 4 hrs later and as normal I popped in to see how all the babies were, only to have the cat Poppy casually walk out :hyper: She'd obviously snuck in when I was feeding them and was more interested in curling up by the heater as not a single container or Betta had been touched  At 13 she's seems to have lost her hunting instincts....bless her!!!!!

Oh my! I'd have had a panic attack lol! Glad they are all ok, can't believe she is 13! Doesn't look a day over 3

She does look good for her age as does her brother. In their day they were known as the Ronnie & Reggie of the cat world and have been known to take on many a dog who has dared to pass our house.....even a Staffy was given it's marching orders and sent running up the road

Sorry about your fry Truck......I think if her brother Casper had got in it would of been a different story :(

my brother has a kitty that loves water. he will go into the tank and splash the water. he is not after my fish he just wants to get his little feet wet.

 Cat's are such funny little creatures. Even though they have a bowl of fresh water....Casper insists on drinking from the tap

  but why when they have fresh water in the house

I wont even go into their toilet habits

My daughters cat is darn near obsessed with my fish room. Makes me a nervous wreck and I'm constantly poking my head in asking what he's doing. He's usually quite well behaved as I *think* that he *thinks* he's a dog. He really has no cat like qualities aside from repeatedly getting on my counters until I yell.

He also drinks from the toilet

Yes....and they order them around very loudly   Mind you if she had tried to get them...she would only have been able to suck them as she had most of her teeth removed last year.

haha well Im glad they are all safe! had it been my little madam they would have gone in a shot! I think she thinks she's the queen of sheba and can have anything she likes! Even teases the dogs through the glass door on purpose! Funny that so many people keep cats and fish!

My cat got hit by a car and so whilst his leg has been healing he hasn't been allowed out of his lil' cage..

but I took him up to my room yesterday to show him my new tanks and he was amazed! His little heart was racing and he kept trying to paw the glass :D

I'm quite worried because he can jump quite high but is really fat, so if he ever managed to get on top of the tank he would probably fall in... haha
