I would be sceptical of the zero NO3 unless you have 1 fish and a tank full of plants, there is nearly always detectable NO3 levels.

Sam

Sorry being an idiot I meant NO2, nitrate! Bad lazy fingers not wanting to go all the way to the '2' key!

Sam

hmm, I just tested it again and it's in between zero and twenty.. lol.

Oh right, well there is some there, an absolute zero is very difficult to achieve :) guess that means the cycle is work ok.

Sam

Sorry just realised, I was right the first time. NO3 = nitrate, which is never 0ppm. NO2 = nitrite which should always be 0ppm! :S

Okay, I have a Super 24" 130W Power Compact Aquarium PC Reef Light NIB on its way. It should be here within the next few days.

That's.... really, really, REALLY high for a 20g... really.
6.5wpg... most people aim for 2wpg.

It was cheap. But the 4058049483 algae scrapers you are going to need wont be. :(

lol.. true.. altho i'm about to get some otos to take care of that:D, lol

Ammonia: 0.25ppm
Nitrate : 5.0ppm
Nitrite : 0.0ppm
ph : 7.6
Temp. : 81F

Otos won't help you with 6.5W of Power compact.

WPG Rule's T12 6.5WPG versus power compact 6.5WPG!!!

With reflector over the PC You could be looking at the equivalent of 9-10WPG (comparitively speaking.)

This will not work with a Hagen CO2 unit. It will struggle with pressurised and years of experience. I'm sorry to say you are going to be in for a difficult ride here algaewise!!

Is there any way you can turn some of the lights off? and just use 65W? Even this with a Hagen will be a truggle.

Andy

Okay, I'm Having some problems. My fish are dying. No idea why... All the stats are like they are should be. The only thing is my pH is 7.6-7.8... That's the only thing. I don't know what else it would me.. Any ideas?
