Appear to be detritus worms
I assume they came in on the plants. Water yesterday before adding shrimp was 0-0-3, so I assume that can't be the problem?Appear to be detritus worms
And this is a new tank so I wonder what the issue is.I assume they came in on the plants. Water yesterday before adding shrimp was 0-0-3, so I assume that can't be the problem?
Had to come in with those plants, if you are not overfeeding...params are fine, nothing to do with the wormsAnd this is a new tank so I wonder what the issue is.
If you’re talking about those things that look like scratches on the glass…and if they’re moving they’re probably Detritus Worms. I think we’ve all dealt with them before. It’s been a long time for me so I don’t remember what I did but I’m pretty sure I did a water change but I had fish so they also could have eaten them.
I try to purchase plants that come in those “pest free”packagings for this reason. If for any reason I purchase loose plants I do a bleach wash….which terrifies me so I try to avoid that routeHad to come in with those plants, if you are not overfeeding...params are fine, nothing to do with the worms
There's other ways to treat plants besides bleachI try to purchase plants that come in those “pest free”packagings for this reason. If for any reason I purchase loose plants I do a bleach wash….which terrifies me so I try to avoid that route

Bonus critters! Look like detritus worms. Also harmless.
I’m sure they’d eat the worms if they got ahold of them. They’re total garbage disposals!Too bad the shrimp don't eat them!
Speaking of... I picked up some Hikari Shrimp Cuisine. Package says every day. Do they need it every day or should I do every other day and let them graze the rest of the time? I've been running that little light 12hrs a day to try to build up a little algae. Strange since on the main tank I'm dialing the light down to stop algae
It's OK to feed them a little every day. Keep it pretty sparing, and they'll make up the difference browsing. I don't purposely feed my amanos, but they never seem to go hungry. ha haToo bad the shrimp don't eat them!
