Hello everybody
I know loads about freshwater tropical and own 3 tank, full of fish . But im now looking into marine, and wanted to start small. From what I have read small is called nano. The size I would like to start with is from is 90 to 130 ltrs.
has anyone got any good sound advice to buy the best and safest nano tank that comes with EVERYTHING , but no glitches.

thanks for any help you may give :good:

Hi magic,
No such thing as "no glitches" when keeping marines M8. LOL
Depends on how much you would like to spend
Got a budget (at least for the tank)
Regards

Hi C
Well here is the thing my husband wants 200 ltrs at least , its me who thought 130 or less. Price, well Depends , I have a Juwel , rena and a fluvel. And when asked by beginners I always say juwel is the best for keeping clean and having healthy fish and also easy to look after. But I have never had a marine tank before and am totally in the dark.
Is a start up tank better than buying a bare bones tank and then all the bits. Taking in to consideration we know nothing on which makes are good for marines.

Can I recommend a Red Sea Max.(plug n play) or a Betta lifespace. (if you want to add your own components)
a little bigger than a Nano I know but may satisify your needs better.

I have read that people have trouble keeping the D&D 28g tank cool due to the halide being so near to the water surface so the hood will probably need modded to take t5,s
Take a look at the aquaone 200 reef

Thank you for your replay kip. No I havent read very much in favour for Red sea max either so staying clear. friends who have marine say its best to DIY but not sure ..
only want to start small first. Im going to have to do some rearrangement of furniture for another tank. As at the same time buying a bigger tank for my oscar and parrot fish also , and that comes first, as they are out growing their tank.
You say a Boyu is good ? Will look it to that.
stay in touch and watch this space
