LOL thank you everyone so much! Everyone is so helpful! My little trooper has been researching ALL evening lol and is talking fish more than I have (which I really thought was impossible )

He has also signed up and reading all the forums vigorously !

The two favs are the D-D tank and the Orca (obviously a Red sea is nice but ouch!)

Couple more questions?!

We are looking into a deal with the entire tank set up including extras such as salt and some fish and marine life. Our only concern is it is just over an hour away. The live rock and fish would need to be put in tubs and special bags and half the tank water would be able to come with us. Would the filter, live rock and animals be ok on just over an hours journey?

Also what would be initial setup at base, first things first etc?

hmmm

i think it will be okay, just make sure the water is at a good temp, and the fishes are bagged in poly boxes with oxygen (you can buy o2 tabs)

my parents picked upa fish once and it was in a bag for 3 hours but seemed fine; but 3 hours is stupidly long so try not to make it that long.

people manage to keep it all fine in longer than 1 hour journeys!

i think to put it in the tank, i would put water in, then rock; then fishes =] (so water at the right temp and salinity)

They will be fine fish spend days in transit, so an hour is not going to make much difference to them. Trnasport the lr in tubs filled with water
