Seems like there could be a decent amount of demand for a Nano comp of some sort. These little tanks are very fashionable at the moment and it might be nice to have a dedicated comp for people to show off their small creations.

How do you define nano though? I don't think there are enough people with nano's to form a decent monthly competition either, having a marine tank of the month would create a similar situation, there just wouldn't be enough entrants.

Yeah we can discuss in here the ins and outs i suppose. I didnt say a totm for sure, just a comp

This would be good

I guess youd have to class nano by litres

Everyone has a different definition of nano though, then when does a nano become a pico? Why not just enter them into the tank of the month competition, after all there isn't a large, medium and small tank of the month.

I understand what you're saying SBS, but quite a few people have nanos these days, woulod not need to differentiate between nano and pico, thats taking it too specific, people are civilised and I think we can come to an agreement on the size

I'm with SBS on this - it's still a tank, so it belongs in Tank of the Month. S'logic.

But I do think variety is the spice of life, and on that basis would love to see more nano tanks and marine tanks in the competition :good:

i think its a good idea but there arnt that many nanos on the forum really nano would be 20L and under? most 'nanos i have seen are 14-15L down to 8L

Im with KkAaNnEe with this one, i think it is a great idea tbh. There seems to be fair few gathering out and about. Maybe the competition would inspire others to join in the new nano craze.

i may just be joining it very soon XD 20 litres and under- here i go!

I will change the the title, I said it doesnt have to be TOTM! lol

I think also, it would just be nice to have them in one section. Although I know we have different sections for different freshwater fish, Cichlid journals, planted, betta etc, but most nanos aren't really governed by this, cos of the lack of fish in most of them

Maybe if the competition was bi-monthly. If you got 5 or more entrants it would be a success imo. :good:

Yeah possibly, any suggestions welcomed :good:
