Name That Fish

from my hopeless description

small fish like tetra or danio kind of thing. That color of white/albino where they actually become transparent but with bright blue eyes.

Can't remember what they're called, anyone got the slightest clue what I'm talking about?

Any of these look like it? There's a few small rainbowfish with blue eyes. A couple of them are transparent white or yellow.

nope not that one, but thanks for trying!

Any of these look like it? There's a few small rainbowfish with blue eyes. A couple of them are transparent white or yellow.

nope none of those either, but thankyou for reminding me just how pretty some of the small rainbows are....... that's definately one for my options list for the new tank!

close but no cigar,

v sim body shape and that's just the sort of transparent white i was talking about, they didnt have the red fins though and i don't think they had that hooked fin either (or i didn't notice it if they did).

they were just totaly pale and see through, no markings whatsoever, eyes looked black but just had this tiny bright blue twinkle around them.

Just thought the blue of the eyes would stand out lovely in a nice heavily planted tank.

Transparent danio maybe? Linky. I don't know if they're available in stores yet, but it didn't take long for the glofish to hit the market so I reckon these could already be available too.

Nah wasn't one of those either, don't think it's a new import, i'm sure i've seen them before and knew what they are called, i've just forgotten

It sounds abit like a green neon, but i am sure you would have remembered that, if thats what they were.

EDIT: or blue neon, not sure now lol

can't find a picture on the internet that does the blue eyes even the slightest bit of justice but i'm fairly sure they are the medaka
