I agree with Frank. But i see that the cory in question has a black dot on his dorsal fin. Could just mean he has genes of another type aswell??

No. It's just that this is one of those specie that have a high degree of variation as it relates to color and reticulation. - Frank

Corydoras sodalis never shows the round black blotch in the dorsal fin which is found in Corydoras reticulatus.
