OOooOh hmm

Raech - I didn't know clown loaches click.
What makes them click??? Are they snappin their fins along to some tunes, or what?
I don't know if they are chewing up food or what but they do it during feeding time. Whenever I drop a sinking wafer in there they will attack it and start clicking really loud. It is funny how they will push each other away with their bodies while still trying to eat the pellet. It is amazing how much they eat though. I sometimes have to feed my fish when the clown loaches are "sleeping" in their pot.

ive always had a place in my heart for clown loaches...

about the clicking thing: I know sea horses click as a mating behavior and soemtimes during eating. When they do it they are actually banging two parts of their skull together...

I dunno if that helps...

bettamomma:those gobies would be cool in a tank like that, if only it werent so time consuming to have a saltwater setup!

Striped & Spotted Raphael Catfish & Clown Loaches..... they really have a great little character.
Also my Albino Tiger Oscar he watches my every move and gets over excited when he sees his ham coming! tehe

I read that the clown loaches click when they are content and you can tell if he likes that food or not. Guess he didn't like the blanched lettuce I tried to give them then. :/ They sure click like crazy on sinking wafers though. I think they know when I turn out the lights and try to go to bed, as they click as loud as they can when I am trying to sleep.

And it is so funny how I will drop 1 sinking wafer in there and they will both dive for it and each one will be clicking so loud and trying to eat it with their upper body while their lower body is shoving the other one out of the way. Very funny things. I am thinking of getting 2 more since I only have 2 that came with the 55 gallon. Is it normal for them to swim crazily everywhere? :dunno:

I completely agree.
I love those little guys :)

maybe one day when I am settled into a house, and I've done months of homework on saltwater fish keeping, I'll have that tank.
