Name 5 Fish

Do you use rain water or tap?
I have rainwater, which I'm grateful for. I have only had rainwater since we moved to this property 5 years ago. I wish more people on this site would collect rainwater for their tanks.

What is the hardness and PH? I suspect both are low but I would like to see a picture of the tests tomorrow maybe of just the rain water...

I looked up black phantom tetra on seriously fish and whip tail catfish... And was surprised... SF says that the BP tetra can be in a PH of 5-7 and a GH of 18-215PPM... The whip tail catfish is noted at a PH of 6-8 and a GH of 5-20°H... So I think the whip tail catfish can also be added to the list as well...

Not under my watch, and I don't test water unless I need to. I especially I'm not going out of my way to satisfy your curiosity. The only test I have here are Test strips that expired in 2009. Get it in to your little head I don't test water.

Hm, interesting... So you actually have no idea what conditions you put your fish through and yet you tell others to test water for PH...

Also I found it very rude of you to make it seem like I was being bratty by asking for a simple water test.... A lot of members ask others to post a water test... I also didn't know you don't test your water. Get that in your "little head"... Yah, I didn't like that being thrown at me either

African cichlids
They can be kept in soft water with a high PH? Very cool! Which species of African cichlid? Or was that in general for literally all of them?

Thank you... Oml. It looks like fantastic water... I myself don't trust strip tests a whole bunch due to previous events but they normally get in the range of things... Too bad I can't have that low of a PH and KH... Well actually if I had a low KH I may have more PH swings so maybe I would want a low PH with high KH lol...

This tank will just sit there for month after month If I just keep doing 25% water changes.
