Good grief!! While generally stalking you through the forums (Saturday morning, cold, nothing to do today except grocery shopping, staying home as long as possible, trying not to move to stay warm), the purpose of the stalking was to check on your posts that were not answered, I found this one.

That has to be one of the highest view ratings of a personal post that IS NOT a fight or slanging match, in the history of the fish forums!! You sure got your moneys worth of replies on that one, can that not make up for anywhere else you have felt slighted?

A great big wow to having found such an amazing place.

btw did you ever buy the Snowball? I have a couple of them and they are easy to keep.

Hey, thanks for finding the old "Heaven on Earth" post. It was a blast to do, and yes I got plenty of answers on that post, but it was more of a discussion post and not a help post like I was originally talking about. Actually now with this post, I have gotten some GREAT help and even some PM's, so I was very happy. I am glad this stimulated some thought and discussion, for me especially.

About the snowball pleco, no, I didn't end up getting one yet. You saying they are easy to keep will probably be the deciding factor. Of course I can't decide between the snowball, a gold nugget, or a queen arabesque... maybe I will post a poll or something about that....

Please also bear in mind that Christmas is coming up at the moment. People are likely to be heading away to family and friends and helping you with you plants is probably not at the top of their shopping list beside buying an ear hair trimmer for their Aunt Muriel. I don't come on here much during the holidays myself and I'm sure others are the same.

:good:

May I add, im dead impressed with how long people have kept this going with real replies :) go forum!

+1 To Pointless Contributions.
Hmm plus 2.There would of been more pointless posts but a mod removed them, I only said lol  ...lol
Thats a good point that jonesyUK has made, never thought of that one.
There's only around 10 experienced plant members on here (I havn't counted so I'm sorry if I missed you out  ), and probably no more than half of them are on at any given time, and as said the plant forum is one of the least used :/ .

SJ2K and cheesy feet, though perhaps unintentionally, make a good point here. the thread is about conduct on the forum, there have been a few threads on this subject of late. many point the finger at Mods, and their lack of action on some threads. yet if you read this thread, the hand of subtle and intelligent moderation, can clearly be seen. this has allowed a potentially disruptive thread to turn into one of the most interesting. :good: just thought i would make that point.

i love this forum because it has it all and is not just about answering questions,i have help where i find my questions answered quickly with different opinions, its good to share experiences and read others, also just to be able to communicate with others who share the hobby is cool.
Some people can get abit heavy handed with their opinions, but usually just have the health of the fish in mind and want to help you in the long run, abit of tact wouldn't go amiss in some cases though as all beginners have to start somewhere and making mistakes is part of the learning curve, as they are seeking advice they are doing the right thing.

if i owned TFF i would be happy to have this as the Forum mission statment! well put angelmoues :good:

I remember those threads when some people were saying there wasn't enough moderation on some sections.
I've never seen anything drastically out of place though, so I don't know what they were going on about lol.
Certainly this has been one of the most closely modded threads I have been on though...Which is good I suppose...
Its just I like to post utter rubbish, hmm i'm doing it again :look:

'heavy handed with their opinions, but usually just have the health of the fish in mind and want to help you in the long run'

A polite way of saying it lol :sly:
