So I have just re-modelled my 70 gallon tank and would like to know what you all think.
It features a female green severum, 1 sucker fish, 1 sailfin molly, 1 male rivaultus (green terror), 1 koi angel, 1 bumble-bee cat fish, a paradise fish and a few kuli loaches. They are all decent sizes for their species (except severum and green terror as still youngish)
I remodelled it for the introduction of the greent terror. I tried to set up 4 distinct corners and an open middle and front section. This is done by placing those 2 tall thin and long ornaments at the edges of each end at a middleish distance from the front of the tank. This creates 4 corners ans lets fish hang about doing their own thing witout seeing each other all the time. I put different plants in different layouts. A distinct cave structure in one of the corners and then modeled shelters using plants. I did this because the severum and the green terror are territorial. Apparently the best way too keep aggressive fish happy is to give them their territory, give them places to hide and keep them from seeing each other 24/7 (also feed them very regularly to suppress hunting instincts). So far it has worked perfectly. The green terror is the largeest yet most passive and the severum who wasn't aggressive to begin with seems to love the green terror.
My parents have a pond in the backyard so got a lot of marsh plants from there which is lucky. Also added a few pieces of driftwood to float on top and some bent pieces to rest against the ornaments making a cave which the bigger fish seem to love.
Just wanting some feedback, tips, praise and negative feedback, because the more info i have the better my tank will be
i am adding pics 1 by 1 as this is how the site make u do it
