Update:

I've given the pearl gourami to a friend so the angelfish are happier as they were occupying similar areas of the tank. The gourami never really tickled my pickle anyway lets say :p I have also done a re-scape too as I got hold of some more java fern and I can actually see I'll be happy how this will look once it has grown. It isn't a massive change but hey ho.
The tank is still a little cloudy..

looks good, i think a tall plant at the back on the left would look good

Yeah I agree, I need to wait for the tall plant next to the wood to grow so I can fill it out on both sides..just have to be patient :(:(

wow it looks really great, its already starting to grow in nicely. I really like that wood too and the placement is great.

Thanks.. it is coming along nicely and the chain sword is taking off now after no growth in the first 2 months :)

Gonna enter it into TOTM now its grown in :)

UPDATE:

Unfortunately I lost one of my angelfish just over a week ago despite medicating. He was never a 100% when comparing him to my other angelfish but didn't figure out what was wrong :rip: . I am now planning to make it a south american themed tank.

Today I went to the LFS to get some rummynose tetra, I ended up with 6, and have just spent the last two hours acclimating them. They're in the dark atm but I can see more colour in them already :)

And of course came back with something else I wasn't planning on.. a lovely piece of wood. Which should look sweeeeet!

I'll get more photos when the wood has been arranged and the rummys have settled in!

Thanks for looking,
Axy! :)

I'm soo sad, I can't wait to start placing this wood. Just cleaning the wood and the sand I'm going to use as extra support :D

Going to have a go tonight as its due for a clean anyways!!

Well that took a long time.. bet the fish are happier now they're back in the big tank :) Felt sorry for them in the 60l

Here's a photo with tank filled up.. still very cloudy but getting better. Tomorrow I'm gonna plant it up and add rocks to the hardscape :D

Thanks.. I'm hoping it will turn out nice. Does anyone know if the wood will go brown or will it stay this reddish colour?
