Fishblast..... if you read the notification sign (post no. 9).... it states that these are White Lions and not Albinos...

I thought albino and white are same. Or are they just white with black eyes?

Albino and white are different An albino is caused by an inability to produce melanin, which is what colours the skin, hair and eyes. This makes the skin and hair completely white, and the eyes either red or very light blue. (Red is caused by being able to see the iris due to no pigmentation of the iris).

White, or very pale (as the lions) is simply caused by differences in genetics, the same as you can get a golden coloured dog or a black dog. It's differences of the genetic code of the X chromosome.

White lions are so rare as the white gene is recessive, therefore if they breed with a normally coloured lion, they will produce golden offspring, since this is the more dominant colour.

Well, they look awesome anyway. Though I like white tigers more.
