My Siamese Fighter Fish..

sory i am a little new to siamese fighter fish.

what tail types and gender r my fish??

from the top down.
crowntail boy
halfmoon boy
plakat/crowntail (girl?)
plakat/veiltail (girl?)

From what I can tell:

1. male crowntail
2. male delta
3. female delta
4. female veil

It's the females that are hardest..that last one could be a plakat, but the other one I think is just a regular female.

Very pretty fish though.

You know...I thought it looked a tad funny, tbh. It looks alot larger up front then it should and the fins are rather short..but I thought it was just the angle.

does seem a bit odd to buy a fish, completely blind, not knowing anything about it's requirements. and the LFS sounds a bit useless!

OOOOOOO....A Crowntail!!!! !!!!! I wish I had a Crowntail thats like pretty x 1 billion

The pet store didn't have any crowntails. ...I have 2 crowntails...But i cant tell what my females are...

So whats the difference between a delta male and a crowntail male. Ive been thinking that i knew what a crowntail was but i really cant see much difference between number 1 and 2... Someone help?

ummm... Double ray black orchid CT's don't sell for $1.29
The Delta... Maybe... I dunno, regular bettas run about $4 around here.
that female looks to be a halfmoon if you look at the branching in the tail... guess I can't really tell though.
The Fusca was $1.29 also? Odd.....

Anyway, nice fish... don't know if they are YOUR nice fish... but nice fish.

No way!! I've never even see a VT that cheap, and they are probably the cheapest most readily available type of betta.

i got them all from the walmart place when i went grocery shopping i saw them and thought they were nice. and how come u dont believe me?? are they supposed to be expensive or something? might have been cuz they were doing a fish clean out.

They're very pretty. I would love to see some more pictures of them I would also like to know why the last female has such a lovely, well-planted tank while the others appear to have been gypped in that respect.

Maybe people are hesitant to believe you because Walmart does not sell bettas of that tailtype with the sort of quality displayed in the first two pictures, which IMO, look like professional pictures that serious betta people use on their websites or auctions.
