my poor guppy i noticed yesterday her tail was transparent and half her body was white i checked my tex book and it had nothing in it to explain what was wrong with her.....she was really sick and suffering so my partner had to do euthanasia... i know it was the right thing to do but still i feel really guilty

Was the fish swimming weird? Or was the discoloration the only sign?

she seemed paralised and she did have trouble swimming....i'm worrried about my other fish getting it. not knowing what it is makes it difficult to treat. i will be keeping a close eye on them

I'm so sorry about your fish! I've almost had to do euthanisia on some of my fish. I'd walk in and prepare then walk over and the'd be dead. It may have been swim bladder, but I'm probably wrong...

On a Happy note i got my 6 ft tank yesterday and it is gorgeous only prob is the other half has to rebuild the cabnit which will be a nightmare my whole wkend has been a nightmare (apart from the tank) because we were getting the tank we decided to lay a wooden floor so we done that up to the original tank my fish are in at the mo and then when my partner went to get the tank the person who was selling it did not realise that the cabnit was bolted to the wall (his father inlaw built it but had passed away) so my partner was there for a good few hours while he took it apart now my living room looks like a timber yard with half my floor done and a huge tank sitting in the middle of it.....i just can't wait to sort it all out get the tank up and running and put my xmas tree up wish me luck i think it's going to be a long wk
