I do best with everything on auto. But do find the little flower symbol and make sure it is on for closups or individual shots. The rest is mostly getting the light and the angle right (usually aim down because of the tank lights.) The subject needs to pose and you need to take lots and lots of shots. One out of many if any is usually how it goes for me.
