Always Watching
I'm so excited! For my high school graduation party on saterday I got my very own laptop. I was not expecting it at all, its a brand new hp Pavillion dv6000. Its up and running and will be connected to the internet as soon as my dad remembers the password for our home network . It was shipped from Shanghai, China and since its my first computer it will most likely be given a name. Which I already decided has to be Chinese .
On Monday my dad finally hooked up my new car stereo thingy I got for my birthday on may 31st. My old one would only play store bought CD's, the volume was all messed up, and the front panel lights were burnt out. I asked for something that could play the radio and mp3's, that really all I needed . My dad went a little overboard and got me a XO Vision XO1915BT. It has a 3" touch screen, can play DVDs, MP3s, CDs, and lets not forget the radio! It has a USB port and SD card slot, also a headphone jack I can't figure out how to use . Blue tooth allows it to make and receive phone calls via my phone, the first place I called was indeed a LFS . We did have a long drawn out battle getting it in though. Took over 4 hours , with two people. We had a somewhat poorly made drawing of the stereo electrical system in my car, which is a 1999 Mazda 626. With the car being 9 years old the electrical plugs on the car and the stereo did not match up, so both had to be chopped off and 15 wires had to be connected individually. We could not figure the polarity on the car speakers so we will have to take the doors apart to check if we got it right (which I highly doubt we did). We had one mystery wire left from the car though, it was brown and did not exist on our poorly made drawing . In the end we finally got it up and running and I absolutely love it . Now I can watch Keanu Reeves do gravity-defying stunts from the safety of my own car
And last of all my old radio . what happened you ask? Well I didn't destroy it out of hate. What happened was I forgot to eject the CD that was in there before we ripped it out . It was going in the trash anyways, but it took me 30min to extract the disc from it. It went down fighting....
