how many bubbles per minute/second should i be aiming for? i just tested one of my kits (running two with two ladders at each end of my tank) and i got 27 bubbles in a minute, and about 1.5 bubbles per second, is this ok? i have a permenant c02 test in the tank, so if the c02 levels go haywire i can drop the levels down, but its not the most accurate test, im aiming for the usual 25/30ppm kind of thing with my high lighting.

I think you pretty much have to ignore the bubble rate on these things, mine is the same, though mine now sits above the lighting starter/power unit so the rate of bubbles increases a bit when the lights are on. Completely accurate levels of CO2 are possibly not achievable with the Nutrafin kit though they should be stable enough with no huge peaks and troughs except when you change the ingredients.

yeah well i have 2 so i will be doing bi-weekly changes i think, running half a teaspoon of yeast in each, as it says in the guide thats pinned to use 1 teaspoon for 1 unit, ill change em alternately, i was mainly worried about there being a possibility of a overdose in the tank and my fish going kaput lol.

That'll teach me not to fully read posts :)

I use 2 Nutrafins and until a week ago was changing them bi weekly until I noticed the rate of bubbles coming through my ceramic diffusor was getting weaker towards the due change, so now I change 1 every wednesday and 1 every Saturday.

Co2 test kits seems to say OK mid to light green

I also use two canister linked together, one changed on a Sunday and one on the Wednesday, use aqualog to help me to remind what needs doing when. Good little application that is free to use.
