He's a great looking cat have you been after a syno for a while? or did he just catch your eye in the store?

No,I had no intentions of getting one. But I saw him at my lfs and came home to research them. Lucky enough they were recommended for large, african cichlid tanks

He's definitely an angelicus,good eye

I'm not too pleased right now with my s.fryeri though. He's being a real hole and chasing everything in the tank because he wants to spawn with the female. That's not good for the fronts because they're clumsy and he scares them and they crash into everything,he's even picking on the new cat. He's about a minute and a half away from being yanked and put in a holding tank until someone takes him off my hands.

He looks like a Synodontis eupterus... not angelicus

He does ....I just found a pic. He resembles both a bit. But after seeing the eupterus,that's definitely him.

They have one exactly like him in my LFS and its labelled as an angelicus.

I actually would love a tank with sandy substrate and 4 or so of them alone I bet that would be interesting to watch.
