My New Six Foot Tank - 135 Gallons

Awesome!!. I love your tank and have always loved how you stock them. It looks great so far but I am sure it will change some. Nice to see you still have your Severum and Nic. Thanks for shareing. Great fish I am sure they are really happy now, lucky fish.

I am suprised your Festivums were so nasty. I had one that was a big time jerk I gave him away. The one I have now is just one of the Discus. My big problem is how much they love to eat plants. It drives me mad.

Hi James was thinking about posting an update lol.

In short - its not gone well.... 3 main bad points.

1. I had a columnaris scare with some new fish but I seem to have got away with that - or it was something else only lost the new fish and others are fine.

2. I dosed the tank to deal with the disease and the meds killed my Agenisous catfish :(:( So gutted about that still.

3. 2 days ago I noticed one of the feet were missing underneath a section of the stand which has now bowed - contacted the makers who are going to get some new feet out to me but less than happy about it but less worried now I have talked it over with a few friends and also the owner of the company and a few of his builders and "engineers" for lack of a better word.

And to top all of that off ALL of my fish are getting really violent really really nasty right now a lot of the younger fish - the geophagus and belem severums are growing fast atm which is throwing the hierachy around a lot and Elsie the Nicaraguan is having a growth spurt which always makes her moody (its true honestly)

I have recently been really tempted to do a serious reshuffle and have a tank with less fish but bigger fish like a vieja and sorbium lima - my nic may work in there but I dont really want to do it :(

So yeah not a great time at the moment :(

I had the same problem with Festivums, bought them thinking they were peaceful and they started attacking everything in sight.

I don't think less bigger fish will be any better. They have to work things out you might just need to take some naughty ones out.

A fish tank stand that size with feet? Most the ones here are cabinets on a solid 2x4 flat on the ground no pressure points. But some do have feet but not many. Will you have to drain the tank to fix it? Sorry to hear things are not great. Fish keeping relaxing till something goes wrong then it's the most stressful hobby.

What is the stock list?
