I managed to get hold of three beautiful plecs off a fellow board member this week.

They are currently in a quarantine tank, where they will stay for the next three weeks.

I have managed to take a few initial pictures but will try and get some better ones once they have settled in a bit more.

Absolutely amazed by the colouration on these fish, particularly the 2 Green Phantoms. I just hope that, when they get into my main tank, I get to see a fair bit of them.

Golden Nugget - about 2 and a half inches, the best picture of a very bad bunch! Not sure on the L number of him, the lady has already had him for about a year and he is still only this size so may well be the smaller species.

L200 Baryancistrus Demantoides - about four inches, he is definitely my favourite; such a vivid colour!

L200 Hemiancistrus Subviridis - just over 3 inches

A final picture to show the difference in colouration between the 2 species of L200. I have been reading up on them but haven't managed to find another picture which really demonstrates this difference.

Well pleased with these fish.

Awesome plecs man! I wish I could photograph mine! He stayed out when I first got him (a blue phantom plec) but I rarely see him now... But the rare glimpses I get of him are worth it!

I love the green phantoms.... maybe I'll have to get one of those next!

Beautiful hi-fin, nearly as nice as mine ;)

the nugget will grow slowly, very very hard to recreate their natural conditons in an aquarium.

I definately got to get a L128 and L200 they are lovely looking fish ( even though l128 not in your pics lol)
