My New Pleco........

Hi All,

I got myself a new pleco on Sunday from the garden centre near me, I was so pleased I saw this pleco two months ago at the price of £150.00, I went on Sunday and they had reduced him to £75.00 so I bought him.

Hes and L27 and I have named him Bungal, lol.

Has plenty of Bogwood in his tank too.

I didnt really planned to buy him beforehand, but when I saw the price drop their was no stopping me lol.
The Common name is L27 Royal Plec

No hes not in that tank, that tank only has the medusas in & the snails, I am not adding anymore until the tank calms down.

I dont have a clue, but hes my biggest pleco out of 3 that I have (other two are common)
hes friendly to other plecs to, when I bought him, the couldnt get him in the bag it was so funny, the pet store guy refused to touch him with his hands because of his spines lol.

il have to buy a new net now in case I ever need to move him, but I shouldnt have the need to move him he has lots of space with him being so big he needs it lol.

Put it this way hes the biggest L27 I have ever seen, lol.

on the second picture he doesnt look that big but hes massive lol.

Im waterchanging the tank this afternoon, after I have ran my tests on water conditions, so if I do end up doing a water change I will try and measure him lol.

I measure my Common Pleco when he is suckered to the glass! Before I had to guess, he is 9" , he is having a new tank very shortly. Hmm, pleco cost £3.95, new tank just for him about £416......

You are aware that they get up to 40cm right? (16") Though absolutely gorgeous, a bit big for my liking

I have just attempted to snap a few more piccys but bungal is having none of it lol.


Yeah I know how big they get, I paid £20.00 for a baby one over a month ago, it didnt make the journey here. So before I bought it I knew what a bargain I was getting compared to the size of the one that I lost last month in transit, and not only that but the fact that the garden centre could not sell it hencing them reducing the price, and also the fact that I seen with my own two eyes it costing a £150.00, that was the best bit about it.

Is the first picture working? that gives a better idea of his size.

I did a water change today, it gave me the excue of changing the tank around (again)



But I couldnt get any pictures, he tends to try and camoflarge himself against my internal filter, at least thats what I reckon.



Will try and get you guys some better pictures of him, I dont really want to pull him out the tank as he has only been here since sunday and will be trying to settle in.
